Bocoeur
Well dressed. Not too serious.
See live project →Bocoeur is a graphic T-shirt brand for a young, style-conscious audience. Every month it releases a limited drop built around a completely new concept, with one constant: the surreal. Each graphic shows something that feels slightly off, a moment that couldn't happen or a detail that doesn't add up. The result is a T-shirt you don't just wear, but collect.
The brief
Graphic tees are everywhere. The market is oversaturated with logo tees and generic prints, and most brands look interchangeable. Bocoeur needed to stand out in that crowd and build a brand that feels artistic and collectible, without tipping over into pretentious. It had to speak to a young audience that discovers and buys on Instagram, and hold together across monthly drops that each look completely different.
The approach
The brand is built on contrast: well dressed, but with a wink. A handwritten wordmark brings the human, drawn feel of the graphics into the identity itself, and a compact « bc » monogram carries it onto caps, hang tags and labels. Sage green and the monospace typeface DM Mono keep everything calm and clean, so the illustrations can be as strange as they want. The tone of voice follows the same idea, light and confident, with small French touches like « come say bonjour » and « c'est la vie ».
The website at bocoeur.com is built around the drop model. Every collection opens as a numbered limited drop with a live countdown, so each release feels like an event and the scarcity becomes part of the experience. The shop uses the same sage green and monospace system, so the graphics always stay the focus.
